Terry is a long time member of the church who is married to Tracey and has two daughters, Josie and Lexi.  He lives in Benton and has attended at Whittington since it was a small missionary baptist church in the 1970's.  Terry grew up in youth groups at Whittington and has lots and lots of stories!  

Terry was raised in Whittington, not far from the church, and attended Ewing Grade School and Benton High School.  After graduation, he attended SIU in Carbondale as a double major in Computer Science and Mathematics.  He has had a long career in the computer industry,  including Information Technology, Software Engineering/Development, Cloud Engineering, and Networking.  Terry also played drums in various Christian bands when he was younger and developed an interest in audio engineering.  He was fortunate to be involved in a lot of street ministry centered around the bands performances.  He and a friend started a sound company and ended up doing 30 years of large concert production centered around Christian ministry and worked with a large number of Ministries, Christian artists and bands.  Terry performed FOH and Monitor engineering duties as well as acting as a system tech for larger shows.  

After retiring from audio, he still does part-time concert production with video walls and travels doing video  production for concerts of all types and sizes.  He also still installs sound systems and will mix a show now and then!  Terry deals with the sound systems at church, the lighting/video systems, and will assist with the computer systems when needed. Terry loves technology (when it works!) and all things audio/lighting/video and enjoys using his skills to further the Kingdom of God! 

It is a little known fact that he can be pretty goofy at times, but only after a few monster drinks.....
